CVI LAUNCHES NEW LINE OF HIGH TEMPERATURE 2900℃ HEAT TREAT FURNACES IN LABORATORY AND PRODUCTION SIZES

October 14, 2009 - Nashua, NH -- Centorr Vacuum Industriesannounced it has received an order for its high-temperature2900℃ Graphite Heat Treat furnace for a companyinvolved in advanced materials.

The new furnace line includes sizes from under 1 cu ft to over 20cu ft for processing Carbon, Graphite, and other advanced materialsand composites.

These new furnaces build on the success of CVI's experience innon-oxide ceramics sintering, chemical vapor infiltration, andchemical vapor deposition furnaces with modifications madespecifically for higher-temperature graphite processing.

Centorr Vacuum Industries' design includes robust Graphiteresistance heated elements or Induction heated hot zones for use to2900℃. The insulation package uses a combination ofgraphite felt and rigid graphite board for long-term service evenin the presence of process off-gassing or residual bindercontamination. Furnace control is via PLC / ProgrammableControllers or Centorr's in-house custom designed HMI visualizationinterface using award-winning Intellution® software. Thisevent-based control offers extensive data acquisition functionalityfor supporting SPC and continuous improvement programs, and remotesystem operation.
